Édition originale, fort rare, de la première oeuvre personnelle d'Henri Estienne."Henri Estienne's first original work, and very rare, consisting of a Greek-Latin lexicon of words, phrases, and expressions borrowed from the Greek by Cicero, and translated by him in his writings. The second part consists of all the Greek texts, with Cicero's parallel Latin translations. In the lengthy preface Henri Estienne reminds the reader of the numerous contributions to scholarship which his father Rober has made - and is still making ; among these he singles out the forthcoming vast and enormous' Greek Thesaurus, which Robert has been compiling now 'for many years and at fantastic expense'".
